Congratulations to our friend Deidre Davis-Butler on being recognized with a Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Council on Independent Living!
Deidre has been involved in the conceptualization, drafting, implementation, and enforcement of civil & disability rights legislation for more than 30 years. The Fair Housing Act, the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, the Rehabilitation Act (as amended), and the Americans with Disabilities Act (as amended) have her fingerprints all over them.
It is a great honor and privilege to have Deidre serve on the Board of Directors for Sources for Community Independent Living. She is a tireless advocate who has spent her lifetime in service and commitment to the promises of the #ADA.
